After breakfast proceed for an trip to Pachmarhi, This day will include visits to Sanchi and Bhimbetka With a rich history to speak of, Sanchi is an important Buddhist site that brings in visitors from all across the world. Its main attraction is the Sanchi Stupa that Commissioned by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. A fine specimen of Buddhist architecture, it has also been listed as a UNESCO Heritage site. Also visit the museum that throws light into Buddhism and how it evolved.
Bhimbetka lies around 46 kilometers to the south of Bhopal and bordered by the Vidhyas on the north. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bhimbetka is an archaeological treasure house. It is famous for its rock shelters, some of which also date back to around 9000 years. Around 500 of the caves have paintings that depict the life and culture of people belonging to that age.
